Basketball Recap: South Atlanta Piles Up the Points Against Redan

South Atlanta won the last time they faced Redan and things went their way on Saturday too. The South Atlanta Hornets really took it to the Redan Raiders for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-39 victory. The Hornets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.

South Atlanta was led to victory by Duor Duor and Bol Deng. Duor dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 boards, while Deng made all 8 shots he took for 19 points. Duor is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Clark, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 11 points and five rebounds.

Redan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Melton, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points. Kaiden Watson was another key player, putting up eight points.

South Atlanta is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Redan, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

South Atlanta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-39 win against Salem on the 4th. As for Redan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 79-20 defeat against Columbia on the 4th.
