Baseball Recap: Mount View Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Mount View entered their tilt with Winthrop on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Ramblers by a score of 6-3. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ramblers, too.

Tanner Oathout was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Miles Carter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Mount View's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Winthrop, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Looking ahead, Mount View will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against St. Dominic at 4:00 p.m. As for Winthrop, they are taking a road trip to take on Maine Central Institute at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ramblers are facing the Huskies at the right time seeing as the Huskies are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
