Softball Recap: Roybal Has No Trouble Against Mendez

Roybal hadn't done well against Mendez recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Titans blew past the Jaguars 27-13. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kimberly Hernandez was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Brianna Garcia was another key player, getting on base in three of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Roybal kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Roybal and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Mendez, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
