Crestview barely beat Newton Falls the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Crestview blew past Newton Falls 18-5 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Crestview got a massive performance out of Brenna Figley, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Figley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alivia Shetler, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Crestview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newton Falls only posted an OBP of .368.

Crestview now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Newton Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

The teams wasted no time getting back out on the field as they've already faced off again: they played to an 3-3 tie later that day.
