If Chadwick was riding high fresh off their 69-49 takedown of Valley View last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chadwick Dolphins took a blow against the Lawndale Cardinals on Monday, falling 66-39. The Dolphins' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Chadwick's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Lawndale, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

Chadwick will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mary Star of the Sea at 5:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025. As for Lawndale, they will square off against Rancho Dominguez at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lawndale knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Rancho Dominguez likes a good challenge.
