Chaparral can bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Belle Plaine Dragons with a sharp 16-1 victory. The Roadrunners' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Emily Harding was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ella White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Chaparral always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .783. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-9. As for Belle Plaine, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.
