Softball Recap: Palmer Wins Going Away Against Holyoke

Palmer won the last time they faced Holyoke and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Purple Knights with a sharp 10-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Hannah Roy and Scarlett LaRose did most of the damage at the plate: Roy got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while LaRose went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Ava Swist was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Palmer kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Palmer's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Holyoke, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Palmer will be playing at home against Ware at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Holyoke, they will head out on the road to square off against Ludlow at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.57 runs per game on average), something the Purple Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
