It was a good run, but the New Life Christian Academy Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 72-37 loss at the hands of Fellowship Baptist Academy. New Life Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fellowship Baptist Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 11th.
Despite the loss, New Life Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jamir Loftin scored 19 points along with four steals. Loftin is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Cameron Parker was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
New Life Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Fellowship Baptist Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Calvary Christian the next time they take the court. Fellowship Baptist Academy will host Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while New Life Christian Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
