The Silver Stage Nighthawks fell victim to the Yerington Lions''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Lions, falling 58-0. Having soared to a lofty 32 points in the game before, Silver Stage couldn't push the score so high this time.
Blayne Baratti threw for 41 yards on four of 24 attempts. Tyler Haroldson was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Donovan Ingram-Fraser rushed for 31 yards.
Leading Yerington to victory were Colby Rowe and Cameron Reyes. Rowe picked up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Reyes rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. Reyes was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards. Will Justice made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Silver Stage's defeat was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 3.6 points per game. As for Yerington, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.
