King has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. The King Lions and the James River Knights will round out the year against one another at 6:25 p.m. on Thursday at. King knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully James River likes a good challenge.
King scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Strawberry Crest 84-40 at home. That 84-40 margin sets a new team best for King this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julien Barnett, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. The match was Barnett's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jabriel Hakim, who scored 17 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, James River lost to Bath County on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin on Thursday.
King's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for James River, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
