Central East had won eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 6-1 to make it nine. They blew past the Clovis East Timberwolves 50-20. The Bengals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Jelani Dippel continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 426 yards and six TDs while completing 73.5% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards and one score. He has been hot, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Titus Thomas also helped out as he racked up 121 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 204 rushing yards in five consecutive games.

Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lindsey Graves, who rushed for 69 yards on only nine carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards.
