Lookout Valley is 0-4 against the Sentinels since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Lookout Valley Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court against the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. Lookout Valley has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1.
Last Friday, Lookout Valley was the victim of a tough 66-41 loss at the hands of the Cougars. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lookout Valley in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Chattanooga Prep was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past the Eagles 71-36 on the road. Given Chattanooga Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Eagles are ranked 362nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Chattanooga Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derrick Roberson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with two steals. Roberson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Ta'Suade Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Lookout Valley dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.1 points per game. As for Chattanooga Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
Lookout Valley took a serious blow against the Sentinels when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 102-33. Will Lookout Valley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
