Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Handley Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 22-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of Booker T. Washington on Friday. Handley's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Booker T. Washington was led to victory by Marquez Daniel and Elijah Hall. Daniel picked up 199 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Hall threw for 308 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. Daniel was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 60 yards.
Handley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Booker T. Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Handley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Booker T. Washington is on the road again on Friday and play against Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Jackson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Booker T. Washington likes a good challenge.
