Temple has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Heard County Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Temple fell victim to Lamar County's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 23-0 walloping at the hands of the Trojans. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, Temple couldn't push the score so high this time.
Meanwhile, Heard County can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-13 win over Mt. Zion at home. Heard County pushed the score to 42-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Mt. Zion cut but never quite recovered from.
Ethan Tisdale had an outrageously good game as he threw for 211 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Brody Buc cofield was in the mix too, providing Heard County with two touchdowns.
Temple has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Heard County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.
Temple ended up a good deal behind Heard County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, losing 28-14. Can Temple avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
