The North Salinas Vikings came into Wednesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against King City by a score of 62-54 on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Salinas also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Shane Taylor continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 14 points along with four steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jesse Mendez, who scored six points.
North Salinas' victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for King City, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Salinas will square off against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for King City, they will head out on the road to challenge the Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
