Ramah extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 1 this week by beating Zuni, 52-8. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Mustangs.
Ramah's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyrell Morgan has thrown for 1855 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Barton has 64 catches for 610 yards. Tyrell Daniels leads the league in rushing with 1035 yards.
Ramah's Morgan is within 145 passing yards of surpassing 2,000 on the season coming into this week's game against Laguna Acoma.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Hawks take on Carlett Daniels' team. Laguna Acoma is in third place, while the Mustangs are in first place.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Roger Cordova's team takes on Ramah. The Hawks have allowed 170 points this season, while the Mustangs have given up 105.
Ramah made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,322 from 13,681. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 52-8 victory over the Thunderbirds last week.
