Make it six blowout wins for the Germantown Red Devils this season. They blew past Southwind, posting a 50-22 victory at home. The win was just what Germantown needed coming off of a 59-21 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, Southwind saw an underclassman step up: Desire Hampton scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hampton has scored all season.
Germantown's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Southwind, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Germantown will take on Collierville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collierville presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Germantown in Tennessee (Collierville is ranked 50th, while Germantown is ranked 254th). As for Southwind, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
