Riverfield Academy has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge The St. Joseph Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Riverfield Academy fell victim to Canton Academy's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Panthers, falling 40-0.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph's game on Friday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. Their rough 28-6 loss to Adams County Christian might stick with them for a while.
Riverfield Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for St. Joseph, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Riverfield Academy took a serious blow against St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 46-0. Thankfully for Riverfield Academy, Cj Moore (who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also threw for 210 yards and four touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
