Pioneer Valley Regional put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Georgetown Royals. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 7-5 victory the Royals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.
Ethan Quinn made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jackson Campbell was excellent, going 3-for-5 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Brody Welcome was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Pioneer Valley Regional's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games.
