 At the plate,  Dimika Anthony- Conner was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Itzel Gonzalez, who  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 On Nacogdoches' side,  Maggie Maness was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in two of her four plate appearances.
 The  win  made it two in a row for Dayton and  bumps their season record up to 19-5. As for Nacogdoches, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 11-4-2 record  this season.
 Dayton will  take on Lufkin at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Dayton is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.7  runs per game this season. As for Nacogdoches, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Huntsville at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Huntsville will roll in looking for their  ninth straight  victory, something Nacogdoches surely won't give up without a fight.
