Saline was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after defeating Bedford. The Hornets came in at 24 in the state poll after placing at number 27 last week.
Pioneer moved up to 39 from 70 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Southeastern - Red. The Pioneers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Monroe 34-0.
Saline's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyler Palka has thrown for 1648 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Gage Hammond has 33 catches for 607 yards. Palka also leads the league in rushing with 573 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Saline takes on Pioneer. Joe Palka's team's offense has scored 373 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Pioneers have allowed only 124 on the year.
A big matchup in Southeastern - Red this week will be when the Hornets take on Pioneer. At the moment, Saline is in first, while the Pioneers are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Hornets take on Pioneer. Saline has allowed 141 points this season, while the Pioneers have given up 124. The Hornets allowed 14 points last week as they bested the Kicking Mules.
Saline extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bedford, 16-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
