La Salle College has gone a perfect 9-0 against Roman Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Explorers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cahillite at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (La Salle College has 11 straight wins, Roman Catholic has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
La Salle College came out on top against Neumann-Goretti on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Explorers took their matchup against the Saints 7-2.
La Salle College got a great performance from Chris Cavalcante as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). At the plate, Matt Mullin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brycen Clarke, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

La Salle College's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Roman Catholic's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: La Salle College hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. It's a different story for Roman Catholic, though, as they've only averaged .224. Will they be able to contain La Salle College's hitters?
La Salle College took their victory against Roman Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Do the Explorers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cahillite turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
