The Whiteland Warriors lost against the Center Grove Trojans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Whiteland suffered a rough 77-54 defeat at the hands of Center Grove. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Whiteland in their matchups with Center Grove: they've now lost three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Whiteland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaskirat Banwait. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points. The game was Banwait's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Spencer Gillespie, who scored nine points.
Whiteland bumped their record down to 3-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Center Grove, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
Whiteland will head out on the road to face off against Seymour at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Center Grove will be home for the holidays to greet Perry Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Perry Meridian is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
