The Toll Gate Titans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were outmatched by Tolman at home and fell 87-59. Toll Gate has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Toll Gate lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Colvin, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Goodine, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Malik Gelinas was his usual excellent self, going 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 2 assists for Tolman. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gelinas has scored all season. Daniel Saulsby was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Toll Gate dropped their record down to 1-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Tolman, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Toll Gate will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Rogers is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Tolman, they will head out on the road to take on the Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Raphael Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the Tigers likes a good challenge.
