With a playoff game on the line, the Connally Cadets rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against Giddings as Connally made off with a 27-6 win. The victory was familiar territory for Connally who now have five in a row.
Connally's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamarion Vincent, who rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Kobe Black also helped out with an impressive 113 receiving yards.
Connally's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 19 points. As for Giddings, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
Connally is on the road again on Friday and play against Jasper at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Jasper is ranked 173rd, while Connally is ranked 197th). Giddings does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
