The Beaufort Eagles and the Crestwood Knights squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Beaufort Eagles had to settle for second. Beaufort was dealt a 44-0 loss at the hands of Crestwood. Beaufort was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Crestwood apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Leading Crestwood to victory were Azarian Yates and Javion Martin. Yates rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, while Martin threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Yates hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for four straight games.
Beaufort's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Crestwood, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.
Beaufort does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Crestwood will square off against Brookland-Cayce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brookland-Cayce is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
