Wheeling Central Catholic extended their postseason success on Thursday against James Monroe. They claimed a resounding 83-49 win over the James Monroe Mavericks. The Maroon Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 22 points or more this season.

Wheeling Central Catholic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaitlyn Blake out in front who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Blake has scored at least a third of Wheeling Central Catholic's points. Another player making a difference was Seneca Heller, who shot 47% from the field on her way to 25 points along with seven assists and four steals.

Wheeling Central Catholic was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They racked up six more assists than James Monroe's also-impressive total of 13.

James Monroe lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Maggie Boroski, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.
