On Friday, LaSalle suffered a tough 57-35 defeat at the hands of the Falcons.
Several Royal Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Melissa Carrasco, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Alexandra Gonzalez casar, who scored two points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
LaSalle struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
LaSalle's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Ferguson, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
LaSalle is on the road again on Monday and plays the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Sunset is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Ferguson, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. Coral Gables will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 484th, while the Falcons are ranked 181st).
