They walked away with a 63-56 win over Berean Christian Academy. Given First Assembly Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Berean Christian Academy is ranked 534th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ta'Bryant Wooden, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Quintin Roberts, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
First Assembly Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Berean Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
First Assembly Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Coastal HomeSchool at 12:45 p.m. on December 16th. Hopefully Coastal HomeSchool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday. Berean Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Temple Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30, 2024.
