The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners will face off against the Rancho Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Southeast Career Tech comes in on 11 and Rancho on four.
Southeast Career Tech's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Del Sol. The Roadrunners might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bruce Trzpis and Nathan Johnson were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Trzpis tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Johnson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Trzpis went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI, while Johnson went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one double.
In other batting news, Lucas Jaggers was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.
Southeast Career Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Sol only posted an OBP of .062.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Rancho had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out Eldorado 6-5. Six seems to be a good number for the Rams as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Like Southeast Career Tech, Rancho also got a great game from a two-way player: Brady Paulson. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Paulson also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rancho is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 11-15 otherwise. Paulson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Dylan Layman, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Southeast Career Tech pushed their record up to 21-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Rancho, their victory bumped their record up to 15-16.
Southeast Career Tech couldn't quite finish off Rancho in their previous matchup back in March and fell 8-6. Will the Roadrunners have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
