The Lake Brantley Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Brantley will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
Lake Brantley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 66-62 win over Lake Mary. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Landen Paquette, who scored 20 points. Princeton Gordon was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Northside Christian on the road on Saturday as they won 66-48. Given Mount Dora Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Northside Christian is ranked 642nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lake Brantley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
Lake Brantley beat Mount Dora Christian Academy 71-60 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Brantley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
