Braddock typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Killian proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 5-3.
Sebastian Perez looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Killian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jahdon Heron, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Heron posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.
Killian's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-3.
Calvary Christian Academy came out on top in a nail-biter against Killian in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Calvary Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
