The Southwind Jaguars will take on the Collierville Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Southwind sitting on 12 straight wins and Collierville on four.
Southwind is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 48-14 victory over Brentwood. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Kelvin Perkins produced another solid performance rushing for 88 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 315 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 87.5% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 166.7 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Southwind's leading receiver Jontae Alexander was Perkins' top target yet again, picking up 148 receiving yards and one score.
Meanwhile, Collierville earned a 39-28 win over Antioch on Friday.
Southwind better keep an eye on Autry, Lawrence. He was instrumental in Collierville's win, rushing for 159 yards and three TDs, while also picking up 41 receiving yards. With that strong performance, Lawrence is now averaging an impressive 103.3 rushing yards per game.
Collierville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 185 rushing yards in three consecutive games.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Collierville's defense and their nine sacks. Braylon Warren led the group effort, picking up four of those sacks all by himself. He is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as he's now posted at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Southwind's record is now 12-0. As for Collierville, their record now sits at 9-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Southwind has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 223 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Collierville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 207.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Southwind and Collierville were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in August of 2019, but Southwind came up empty-handed after a 29-28 defeat. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
