World of Inquiry is 2-7 against Penn Yan Academy since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The World of Inquiry Griffins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Thursday, World of Inquiry was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-50 to Rochester Prep.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Diego Martinez, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals. Martinez is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Adams, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Penn Yan Academy came up short against Harley Allendale Columbia on Saturday and fell 66-54.
World of Inquiry's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Penn Yan Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10.
World of Inquiry beat Penn Yan Academy 72-59 when the teams last played back in January. Will World of Inquiry repeat their success, or does Penn Yan Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
