The King Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, King still got an impressive performance from Mathias Tinker, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Tinker has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Davis, who scored 18 points.
King has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Arlington, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.
King and Rancho Verde will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Rancho Verde's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last eight games. As for Arlington, they will head out on the road to challenge La Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Sierra will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 850th, while Arlington is ranked 218th).
