Bastrop lost against Sterlington back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Bastrop came up short against Sterlington, falling 15-1. The Rams' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Bastrop's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-4-1. As for Sterlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

Bastrop will challenge Lincoln Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Sterlington, they will take on West Ouachita at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. West Ouachita's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Sterlington's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
