The Crestwood Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They snuck past Grand Valley with a 35-29 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Crestwood's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while Grand Valley is ranked 127th).
Crestwood was led to victory by Abby Guyette and Livia Martini. Guyette scored 4 points along with 8 steals and 7 rebounds, while Martini scored 8 points along with 7 steals. Guyette is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly O'Bryant, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Crestwood's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Grand Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestwood will square off against Cardinal at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Cardinal comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Grand Valley is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Berkshire at 6:45 p.m. on December 12th.
