Marion had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Johnston Dragons, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since October 12, 2024.

Johnston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Iowa City on the 28th. As for Johnston, they will face off against Southeast Polk at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
