The Poly Engineers can now show off 14 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 75-15 victory over City College. The win was nothing new for Poly as they're now sitting on five straight.
Poly found their leader in underclassman London Elliot, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. Sierra Georges was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Poly's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for City College, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poly will challenge Mergenthaler Vo-Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mergenthaler Vo-Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for City College, they will head out on the road to square off against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
