Columbus' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Katy Mooney, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Mooney hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylie Johnson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Baxter Springs bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their 15th straight on the road. As for Columbus, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baxter Springs and Columbus will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Columbus, they will head out on the road to face off against Southeast at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
