Powell is a perfect 10-0 against Campbell County since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Powell will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Powell had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Knoxville Central on Wednesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Rianna Boone made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Like Powell, Campbell County also got a great game from a two-way player: Keira Bierdemann. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Bierdemann was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.
