Rashad Dockery Turns in Season-Best Effort
South View was led to victory by Rashad Dockery, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Dockery rushed for 320 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.
The win was the fourth in a row for South View, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Dockery and South View will be playing at home against Cape Fear at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Nance Came Up Big in Seventy-First's 56-6 Win
Seventy-First picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Deandre Nance. Nance turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 118 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 121 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 113 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for Purnell Swett, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Nance. When Nance last faced the Rams back in October of 2023, he rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown.
