Tomball Memorial Gets a Boost from Martin in 48-41 Defeat
Starting off the list is Tomball Memorial's Aiden Martin, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Martin threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Tomball Memorial is 2-1 when Martin posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise.
A feisty cat fight will be fought when Wildcats takes on Tomball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Cougars, probably because Martin had a solid game then too: he rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 109 yards on nine of 19 attempts. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
