The Waldron Mohawks lost against the Triton Central Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Waldron took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Triton Central. Waldron has not had much luck with Triton Central recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Waldron still got an impressive performance from Lucas Shaw, who scored 16 points along with 5 assists. Shaw scored a full 30.2% of Waldron's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Douglas, who scored 6 points along with 3 steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Triton Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Silas Blair, who scored 28 points along with 5 rebounds. Max Crouse was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 5 assists.
Waldron's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Triton Central, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldron will take on Edinburgh at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Triton Central, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
