They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 51-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Harvest Community in their matchups with Covenant School of Jacksonville: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Harvest Community saw an underclassman step up: Rebekah Harmer scored 16 points. Elise Harmer was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Harvest Community's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvest Community will take on First Coast Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. First Coast Christian is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will be playing at home against Global Outreach Charter Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
