The Unity Christian Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 20 points or more this season. They breezed by Praise Academy on the road to the tune of 63-19. The win was just what Unity Christian needed coming off of a 70-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Unity Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gabriela Creel led the charge by scoring ten points along with seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Creel, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Unity Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Praise Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Unity Christian will head out on the road to face off against Model at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Praise Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Oakwood Christian at 12:00 p.m. on January 13th.
