Softball Recap: Clements Wins Going Away Against Tanner

Clements owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Tanner Rattlers as the Clements Colts made off with a 9-0 win. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Olivia Moody was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Moody was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

In other batting news, Carly Nave was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Emma Rikard was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Clements now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Clements will face off against Lindsay Lane Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lindsay Lane Christian Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Clements surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tanner, they will square off against St. John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
