The biggest upset of the week belonged to Poinciana, who took down 421st ranked Mulberry, 36-30. Jonathan Lindstrom threw for 243 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 27 yards during the win.
Tenoroc fell to Lake Region 50-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Dylan Wright-Sirmon was a bright spot for the Titans, as he threw for 131 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 14 yards in the loss.
He went 19-44 with 4 interceptions.
Joshua Lopez was the best wideout in 5A District 10 this week as the Eagles bested the Panthers. Lopez racked up 5 receptions for 99 yards. Maruice Anglin helped Poinciana's passing attack out by catching 6 balls for 53 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Poinciana's Lindstrom and Anglin have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-4 quarterback Lindstrom has thrown for 1,748 yards this season, while Anglin has 32 catches for 521 yards. Lake Wales's Justin Henderson leads the league in rushing yards with 924.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Jeff Mathis' team's Anglin goes up against Auburndale's Rosemond ALexis.
The Highlanders' Henderson needs only 76 yards against Tenoroc next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 128 carries Henderson has accumulated 924 yard this year.
Next week's game between the Eagles and the Bloodhounds will feature an aerial matchup as Lindstrom tests his arm against ALexis' defensive ability.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will go head-to-head with its top pass rusher when Poinciana and Auburndale face off next week.
As it stands, the Eagles are in second, while Kenneth Grantham's team is in third.
