Derek Wales made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Alma Center Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to Whitehall.
Alma Center Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Paul, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jay Stetzer, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Alma Center Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
