Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Augusta get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lancers with their most commanding win of the season.
Derek Wales made a splash no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran got a massive performance out of Sawyer Sydow, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Sydow a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Zimmerman, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Augusta struck out eight times.
Meanwhile, Alma Center Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to Whitehall.
Alma Center Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Paul, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Another was Jay Stetzer, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles.
Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Alma Center Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.
