The Nazareth Kingsmen had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell to Ursuline 67-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Nazareth still got an impressive performance from Vanessa McManus, who scored 30 points. M. Moore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Nazareth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Ursuline, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Nazareth will be playing in front of their home fans against St. John's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ursuline, they will head out on the road to face off against Ossining at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
